Saiva Siddhanta is a prominent and ancient Indian school of philosophy that emphasizes devotion to Lord Shiva as the Supreme Being. It teaches a dualistic yet non-separative relationship between the soul, God, and the world, guiding practitioners toward liberation through knowledge, devotion, and divine grace.

Dharmapuram Adheenam

Press and Publications

Nearly a century ago, Dharumapuram Adheenam procured printing equipment from the British and established the renowned Gnana Sambandham Press. Through this historic press, numerous ancient manuscripts, Saivite scriptures, and devotional works have been carefully printed and published as books during various Adheenam celebrations and spiritual events.

One of the greatest achievements of the Adheenam’s publishing efforts is the monumental 18,000-page edition of the sacred 12 Thirumurai, published in 16 extensive volumes. This remarkable spiritual treasure has also been translated into 16 languages and made accessible through the official website for devotees and researchers worldwide.

In addition to its vast research library containing thousands of books and rare palm-leaf manuscripts, Dharumapuram Adheenam became one of the earliest religious institutions in Tamil Nadu to establish a printing press during the early 20th century.

Hundreds of valuable spiritual and literary titles have since been printed and distributed at affordable prices for the benefit of devotees, students, scholars, and the general public. The Adheenam also publishes a widely circulated religious monthly journal dedicated to Saiva Siddhanta teachings and Tamil spiritual heritage.

365 Books Publication Initiative

To commemorate the Diamond Jubilee year of the revered 27th Guru Mahasannidhanam, Dharumapuram Adheenam has launched an extraordinary literary initiative to publish one book every day for 365 days.

This ambitious spiritual and cultural endeavour will result in the publication of 365 books covering Saiva Siddhanta philosophy, Tamil literature, devotional hymns, temple traditions, and cultural heritage, all graciously released by the sacred hands of the Guru Mahasannidhanam.
