Educational Activities

There is no greater service than educating others. Education is the most powerful tool for individuals and society to achieve integrated development. The education one receives forms the foundation of their potential and character.

To uphold this belief, Dharumai Adheenam manages 34 educational institutions ranging from primary schools to colleges. The primary mission of these institutions is to provide equal education to all, regardless of economic status, making education accessible to everyone.

Currently, more than 15,000 students are enrolled across these institutions, supported by 708 dedicated teachers. Many students come from the surrounding rural areas of Mayiladuthurai district. A breakfast program has also been initiated and consistently maintained to support students' well-being.

Dharumai Adheenam Veda Sivagama Thevara Patasalai

For many years, Dharmapuram Adheenam has committed itself to preserving traditional knowledge and devotional practices through its Devara Patasalai. This rigorous five-year course follows a structured curriculum and examination system, offered completely free of charge.

Students receive accommodation, food, clothing, and other essential amenities to ensure that well-trained Sivacharyas are prepared to conduct daily rituals and temple festivals in Shiva temples around the world.

Since its inception in 1942, the Veda Sivagama Patasalai and Devara Patasalai have educated over 5,000 students, many of whom now serve as priests and spiritual teachers globally.

Primary and Middle Schools of Dharumai Adheenam

Dharumai Adheenam operates seven middle schools across the districts of Mayiladuthurai, Trichy, and Thanjavur, educating 1,324 students with the support of 57 teachers.

Additionally, twelve primary schools function in five districts including Thoothukudi, Thanjavur, and Tirunelveli, serving 1,247 students with 44 teachers.

Students are provided with excellent classroom facilities along with training in Hindi, spoken English, yoga, karate, and cultural values. During festive seasons, essential supplies are distributed to students' families.

Government-Aided Higher Secondary Schools

Four higher secondary schools operate in Mayiladuthurai, Thanjavur, and Tuticorin districts. These institutions provide students with government welfare benefits, strong infrastructure, and moral education alongside academics.

Students are also encouraged in arts and cultural activities. Before their final board examinations, students honor their parents through traditional Pada Pooja ceremonies.

Currently, 1,616 students are studying in these schools with the guidance of 52 dedicated teachers.

Matriculation Higher Secondary Schools

Dharumai Adheenam manages matriculation higher secondary schools in Mayiladuthurai, Sirkazhi, Chidambaram, Vaideeswaran Koil, and Thirukkadavoor.

Students receive training in music, dance, karate, and cultural disciplines to nurture individuality alongside education and moral development.

These institutions currently educate 6,578 students with the support of 339 teachers and continue to achieve numerous academic and extracurricular accolades.

CBSE School of Dharumai Adheenam

The Dharumai Adheenam Sri Gurunjanasambandhar Mission Garden Court Cambridge School, located in Kanyakumari District, provides quality CBSE education in a nurturing environment focused on discipline, morals, and academic excellence.

The school enrolls 1,100 students and employs 62 teachers. It is accessible to both urban and rural students, maintaining affordable tuition fees for all communities.

Students receive coaching in yoga, Bharatanatyam, tabla, keyboard, taekwondo, skating, cymbals, and abacus, guided by expert instructors.
